Hello! 

I am an Assistant Professor of Strategy at the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s Isenberg School of Management. My research examines how differences in organizational performance emerge and persist over time through often-overlooked mechanisms in strategy and entrepreneurship. I study these questions through two complementary lenses: organizational resources and capabilities, and organizational human capital. 

My work has been recognized with several awards and nominations from leading scholarly associations, including the Best Conference Paper Award Nominee (2026), Strategic Management Society (Strategic Human Capital IG); Best Conceptual Paper Award (2025), Academy of Management (ENT Division); Glueck Best Paper Award (2022), Academy of Management (STR Division); Best Paper Award Finalist (2021), Academy of Management (MOC Division); and Best Paper Award Finalist (2021), International Corporate Governance Society. My teaching and service have also received recognition, including the College Outstanding Teacher Award Nominee (2026) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s Isenberg School of Management and the Outstanding Reviewer Award (2022) from the Academy of Management (STR Division).

I hold a PhD, an MS, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business, as well as a BSc in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University. Before graduate school, I worked in securities at Goldman Sachs in London as an intern, and in real estate and equity research at ARM in Lagos.
